Rainbow Six Siege may be hailed as one of gaming’s most grounded and tactical shooters out there, but on Feb 18 all hell is breaking loose. Rainbow Six Siege‘s Outbreak event has been teased today with an all new trailer showing operator Ash preparing for something monstrous. There are no more sides; Mankind need to fight together.
The trailer starts with several units in panic as they get swarmed by shrieking creatures that remain obscured by fog. Their silhouettes suggest elongated and jagged appendages. The quarantine zone has isolated this unknown threat, and we’ll have to wait until the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational for the full reveal.
Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak’s co-op event begins March 5 and ends on April 3. This wouldn’t be the first horror content Ubisoft has brought to one of their shooters. A few weeks ago the Predator appeared in Ghost Recon: Wildlands as a limited-time event. As a light (and bad) player of Siege, I’m looking forward to dying even more than usual.
Update: Additional event details have been posted to the PlayStation blog here.
