While I was pretty split on the original Yomawari in my review, I can’t say that I don’t welcome more from the weird, ambient, and spooky world of this series so soon. We’ve known about the new game, Midnight Shadows, for a few months now, but we’ve finally got some new info to dish out to you. A new trailer for starters, which shows off some of that excellent mood I was talking about returning, as well as teasing the two new characters we’ll be playing with. There’s also a Collector’s Edition coming, complete with a set of “Black Acrylic Charms” (I think they’re key-chains based on the image), a glow-in-the-dark cloth poster (although the image on it is TBA), and a collector’s box.
The game is hitting PlayStation 4 and Vita, as well as Steam on October 24th in NA and October 27th in EU territories. Here’s hoping the developers ironed out some of my problems with the original, because it really is something I’d love to get back into.
