Somewhere, beyond the sea… man, I really just want this freaking collection already.
It’s been forever since the very first leaks of a BioShock HD Collection (or something to that effect) coming to Xbox One and PS4 started – last September as I recall. There has already been a few more leaks since then, showing the game’s official box art, it being rated for current and last gen consoles on Brazillian websites, and so on. I was actually kind of stunned it didn’t get announced at E3, but it looks like maybe they were saving the announcement for when it wouldn’t get crowded by other games.
2k Games’ official website is the source of the leak, this time, essentially making this a 100% for-sure deal. The title appeared for a few minutes before being taken back off. Somebody isn’t allowed to use the website manager anymore, I bet.
Kotaku also points out that 2K set up an official BioShock Twitter account today as well, and that NeoGaf users also seem to have unearthed some images, even hosting a comparison between original, and Collection.

GameSpot is also hosting the image we used for our header, which (as previously speculated) would seem to be Collection‘s box art. I can’t tell you how much I’ve been yearning to get my hands on this, BioShock and BioShock Infinite (along with the incredible Burial at Sea DLC) are two of my very favorite games ever made. I’m consistently blown away by their story and presentation, not to mention the original game’s tense, horrifying atmosphere. That isn’t to say that I don’t like BioShock 2 as well, it’s a great game, but I think most would agree it’s the lesser of the three titles. The Collection presumably includes all three titles, along with all of their DLC, and probably BioShock 2‘s multiplayer as well. It would be nice to see that make a comeback, despite how unbalanced it became after a fair amount of the players leveled up (God damn Houdini Splicers). We’ll keep you updated as more info becomes available, but I’d expect an announcement any moment now.
