After several weeks of media silence, Bethesda has now announced a release date for the return of Wolfenstein. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be releasing across last and next gen consoles and PC on May 20, 2014. Those that preorder the game will receive a key to the DOOM 4 beta. A beta, you say? Yes! DOOM 4 is closer to being real. But that’s all the news we have on that front.
Speaking of DOOM and supernatural monsters, this new Wolfenstein seems devoid of these things. The release date trailer shows us BJ Blazkowicz killing an ensemble of Nazi psychopaths as well as Nazi-mechs presumably fueled by racism and aryan pride, but where are the ghoulies? Maybe they’re being kept secret. Regardless, we now have a release date. Celebrate or something.
