The puzzle game Whispering Willows, which has players take control of a girl that can separate her spirit from her body, has been nominated for three awards at the annual Game Connection convention in Paris.
We reviewed this intriguing puzzle game some time ago and were rather impressed with its style and story. Whispering Willows was already an award-winning title: in 2013 it was declared the “most immersive game” in the Ouya Create Game Jam and, earlier in 2014, it also won first place in the Seattle Indie Game Competition and “Best Story” in the Casual Connect competition.
This time around it was nominated for Best Storytelling, Best Downloadable Game and Best Casual Game, which are all fitting categories for the game. To celebrate the nominations, the game will be available at a 33% discount on both Ouya and Steam for a week, starting tomorrow.
