Watch a full orchestra perform “Final Confrontation” from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow’s soundtrack

One of the best things about the Castlevania series is the soundtrack each game is blessed with. There’s a reason why many gamers claim this franchise to have some of gaming’s finest scores. From the memorable “Vampire Killer” to the more recent “Gabriel’s Theme,” if you’re set to dive into a ‘vania title then you’re going to be in for one very aurally-pleasing experience.

This was also the case with Mercury Steam’s Lords of Shadow. The game’s score, composed by Oscar Araujo, stands amongst some of the best soundtracks this generation despite it sounding a bit more Hollywood than your typical ‘vania tune. I can go on and on praising the Araujo’s musical mastery at play in Lords of Shadow but I’ll just leave you with the video below which features Araujo himself and his orchestra performing “Final Confrontation” at the Festival Cine Ubeda that was held this past weekend. You can’t tell me this doesn’t sound epic!
