The cover art for DOOM was met with a less than stellar response, being that it was generic and boring. It could be the cover art of just about any shooter, which is a disappointment seeing as DOOM itself set so many trends and there are so many classic art pieces and lots of striking visual imagery from the franchise which would have looked so much better than a faceless armoured man holding a gun.
Well, Bethesda are willing to compromise apparently and are currently holding a poll on Twitter to let the fans decide between one of two possible designs for the reverse of the sleeve, so if you don’t care for the current design you can just flip it over to something hopefully more interesting. B is the most obvious choice, being that it is reminiscent of the original games and pure DOOM, though, the lack of belly shirt may disappoint some.
