Vampire Survivors won the Evolving Game honor at the 21st BAFTA Games Awards, which took place a couple of days ago. This comes after it also won Best Game in 2023, and it highlights how the game’s ongoing updates and the developers’ continued support are key to its success.
The team behind Vampire Survivors, Poncle, expressed gratitude for winning the award, thanking everyone in the fan community for its continued support.

Speaking of support, Vampire Survivors consistently gets updates month after month, year after year. The studio wants to make sure players have reasons to come back to the game regularly. One of the new features being planned is to add support for cross-save, which would allow “survivors” to play on multiple platforms using the same saved game. Unfortunately, not all systems will be getting this update.
Poncle explained on X that the PlayStation version of the game – that includes both the PS5 and PS4 – will not be receiving the feature yet. Poncle said the following, adding that the team ran into “a legal issue” not known at the time:
We’re sorry to say won’t be able to bring the Vampire Survivors Cross-Save feature to PlayStation 4/5 alongside our next update
Last month, we told everyone that Cross-Save would be available on PlayStation 4/5, PC, Xbox, Android and iOS alongside our next free VS update in April— Vampire Survivors 🦇 Ode to Castlevania OUT NOW 🧄 (@poncle_vampire) April 8, 2025
Although cross-save support for PS5 and PS4 has not been fully ruled out, Poncle said the chances of it coming to the consoles are “slim” for now, but the team is working on a fix.
The upcoming update will arrive first on PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS, followed by Nintendo Switch at a later time. The Apple Arcade version of Vampire Survivors might also get the update if it can be done without violating privacy agreements, Poncle explained. The studio has also hinted at the possibility of some new trophies coming up.
