We brought you news a little while ago that Left 4 Dead 2 was getting an update. No, it wasn’t the long-awaited sequel we’ve all been praying for, but it might make some Resident Evil 6 fans very happy. Some enemies from Resident Evil 6 will now appear in Left 4 Dead 2, and characters from Left 4 Dead 2 will now become available in Resident Evil 6‘s Mercenary mode.
The update is free for both games, with the only caveat being that the feature is only available in the PC version of the game. The trained (or even untrained) eye will see this as just a couple of skins for both games, but an update to a game from 2009 is still an update to a game from 2009. Considering it’s Left 4 Dead 2, an update is always welcome.
