Indie horror games on the PC are in no short supply these days, but U55 – End of the Line is setting itself apart in a few ways. The developers want to take players to the city of Berlin, a city rarely, if ever, seen in video games. Apart from the locale and dark subway tunnels, gamers will control a kid (whose age is yet unknown) trying to find his way through the tunnels with only the light on his mobile phone. Talk about darkness.
U55 is also reaching for Oculus Rift support, and inspiration is heavily cited in HP Lovecraft’s work, as well as other games such as Silent Hill, Dead Space, and Amnesia.
The developers of U55 are asking for $115,000 on Kickstarter. With seven days left to go, they’ve racked up $50,000. Will you be helping them out?
