According to the latest episode of the Playstation Blogcast, the trap-based action game Trapt is coming to Playstation Network this week. This Playstation 2 classic was first released in 2005 as part of the Deception series, which will receive a new installment in March.
In the game, players take control of Princess Allura, who has to flee from her castle after she is blamed for killing her father. She seeks refuge in an old mansion, but encounters a demon there who curses her with a magic arm that allows her to control traps and forces her to use it in order to sacrifice whoever enters the house. Using special environmental hazards or stringing together long combos rewards the player with points, which they can then use to buy new and better traps or unlock new parts of the mansion.
Deception IV: Blood Ties is the latest addition to this series, but unless you live in Japan, it will still take a few weeks until you can give it a shot. Trapt might not look as good and the translation is laughable, but if you need something to keep you company until March, then it’s definitely worth a shot.
