The Unreal Engine 4 port of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has been pushed to Steam to existing owners of the game. The upgraded version is available free to those who already own the game and should appear as a separate title in the Steam library.
The Redux is based off of the PS4 version of the game and introduces a new auto save system, improved background loading and a system to alleviate backtracking complaints. In addition, Redux introduces a Resolution Scale option for in-game downsampling. The Redux does not currently support DirectX 12 but The Astronauts plan to update it in the future when it’s ready.
