Developers The Astronauts have made a post on their blog detailing a small snippet of what it’s like to work on the interiors of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Up until now we’ve only seen a few impressive shots of exterior environments like the forest and hills.
In short, they detail how easy it is to screw up interior environments, especially in first-person games, because additional details like furniture and immersive decoration add to the believability and scale of buildings.
The post also reveals that most of the game takes place outside and can’t be talked about, especially that one big place. So, it’s safe to say that a lot of the game is still being kept under wraps.
