Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are making their way to current-gen consoles with the release of the remastered Metro Redux collection. Publisher Deep Silver has released a trailer that goes through the visual, environmental, and mechanical changes that will be found throughout the retouched versions of 2033 and its sequel.
Metro 2033 will see the most improvements and changes, going beyond a simple high res retexturing. Levels have been improved, details expanded, and a healthy dose of gameplay improvements from its successor have been added in, making Metro 2033 Redux the definitive version of the game.
Both games have also been given two additional playstyle options: Survival and Spartan, with the former catering to the survival horror audience and the latter action oriented.
Metro Redux will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on August 26. Those that own either of the original games on PC get 50% off of the Redux editions.
