Framerate, resolution, and of course performance are on the tips of most gamer’s tongues these days. With fanboys endlessly going back and fourth over which next gen console is more powerful.
Ready At Dawn’s new PS4 exclusive The Order 1886 is set to truly test the hardware of Sony’s new console. Apparently the game will be running at 1080p, and at a rock solid 30 frames per second. A lot of people were hoping for 60 frames per second, but it appears that won’t be the case. Ready At Dawn’s Ru Weerasuriya commented on the technical goals they have in mind for the game.
“Currently we do not aim for 60 frames per second. In a first person shooter that surely makes sense. Also fighting games are undoubtedly predestined for 60 frames. But for us, the cinematic experience is in the foreground basically focus, presented in full HD 1080p. In favor of spectacular effects and the highest resolution we restrict ourselves to a fluid 30 frames per second”
Shame it won’t be at a higher framerate, but ah well, what can ya’ do? Aside from joining the PC Gaming Master Race™, where we scoff at the idea of games running at sub 120 frames per second. (I’m just kidding)
