Fans who thought the game’s first episode wasn’t quite vicious enough for their tastes may be sated by the next episode, according to IGN. They were able to get a sneak peek at a preview of the next episode, Starving for Help, due out sometime at the end of this month.
The second episode picks up three months after the events of the first. As seen in the preview at the end of the first episode, the weather is turning colder. The summer months have turned to fall, and the group’s food supply is dwindling. Yes, apparently becoming zombie food is not the only food you need to worry about in the zombie apocalypse. A new companion joins Lee’s ensemble by the name of Max. How he got there hasn’t quite been revealed yet.
Lee and Max happen to hear a man scream just outside of the motel. Rushing to his aid, they find that his foot has been snagged by a bear trap. The metal jaws have been tampered with and there’s no release mechanism. The trap is chained down – surely this was to act as some sort of bait. But who would do something like that?
Much like what happened in season 2 of TWD on AMC with Randall, you’re left with a choice. Except you get to make the choice this time. The game is all about choices, what did you expect? There’s an axe nearby – do you:
a) Hack at the chain
b) Try to pry the jaws open
c) Leave the man there
d) Cut off the man’s foot
Greg stated that once the rather gruesome choice had been made, the group heads back to the hotel where it’s time to ration out foot–err, food to the survivors. (Oh come on, you’re telling me that no one else thought of that? Two birds, guys!) Who you choose to feed will affect your relationship with them. There’s not enough food to go around – there are four pieces of food and nine people to feed.
