The Last of Us is still at the top of the UK sales charts

Despite the release of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, The Last of Us continues to dominate the UK sales charts. It’s the third week in a row, too, a feat only accomplished by two other titles this year; Dead Island: Riptide and BioShock Infinite.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Sales isn’t really all that interesting to some people, but this speaks volumes for what we could see going forward.

There’s certainly a market for these types of story-focused, survival action adventure games, and this could also lead to an increased interest in upcoming survival horror games. Sure, The Last of Us had plenty of action-packed moments, but it also was home to some truly terrifying scenarios.

Hell, I’m already on my third playthrough.
