Well it looks like Naughty Dog’s new IP The Last Of Us is a rip-roaring success. Since it’s June 2013 release, the game has gone on to sell well over 6 Million copies. Not that anyone is particularly surprised, but it’s nice to see that a new IP can flourish like this. One can only hope that this convinces more publishers to create risky new projects, rather than continue to churn out sequel after sequel.
Ironically enough, in light of this news, I’d said the chances of a sequel are immensely high. The Last Of Us is now a major franchise for Sony, so it’s pretty likely that we’ll see a sequel in the future.
