The Last Door is a point & click franchise about the occult in Victorian England that started in 2013 and became an award-winning hit soon after. A season 2 was inevitable and, after a successful attempt at crowdfunding, has now gone into closed beta.
The Spanish studio “The Game Kitchen” raised €17905.70, which converts to about $23,000. Those who donated €15 or more became “premium members”, which is the status required to get into the beta and try the game early.
I am eager to see the story of this franchise continue after playing the collector’s edition that was brought to Steam earlier this year. The fundraiser is still accepting donations, so getting into the beta is still possible.
