Despite an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign to bring the post-alien invasion game The Hum to PCs, independent developer Thotwise is back with … The Hum: Abductions. Revealed as a prequel to their original Hum game, Abductions has been announced for a mid-2015 release on PC, Mac, and PS4.
The Hum: Abductions seems like a much more intimate horror story, starring a mother and wife by the name of Holly Sanders. Left to take care of her son alone after her husband’s disappearance, Holly comes face to face with alien invaders. Holly’s journey is said to even take her into her own mind while being experimented on.
The Hum: Abductions is being developed on Unreal Engine 4 and will support the Oculus Rift and presumably Sony’s Morpheus VR headset. The game is looking pretty good so far! Here’s hoping we see a little more soon.
