The Evil Within themed blood drive to take place at QuakeCon 2014

Bethesda has today announced that they want the sweet life juice that’s currently coursing through your veins. No, they haven’t become super evil and need your blood in order to sustain some ancient deity that lingers beneath their headquarters – they’re holding a charitable blood drive at this year’s QuakeCon!

The drive, which is said to be inspired by The Evil Within (because blood), will be held during the event on July 18 and July 19 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel and is a partnership between the publisher and the American Red Cross. Those that want to donate their blood to “The Good Within Blood Drive” merely need to stop by and meet the Red Cross’ requirements. If you’re going to the event, quit being selfish and donate some of your Mountain Dew spiked blood; it just might save a life.

I’ve donated blood before, and it’s not bad. I didn’t get any video game swag, like Bethesda will be offering in the form of a “The Evil Within chill pack”, but someone somewhere might have been saved by my contribution. Isn’t that worth something?
