The Evil Within may be several months old now, but Bethesda has just published a new update for the game that touches upon one of its biggest complaints: letterbox. An update for the game is available across all platforms today, including last-gen, that lets players remove the black borders around the screen that were meant to make the game feel more “cinematic. In actuality, it bothered a lot of people as it limited sight and made playing the game feel a tad claustrophobic.
A fullscreen option has been available in the PC version of The Evil Within for quite some time, and now all platforms can get a full view of what the game’s artists worked on. Ain’t that nice?
Lastly, the Casual difficulty has been made … more casual? Increased ammo and more health has been issued for players choosing to take the easy road. Wimps.
