Today Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc and Supermassive Games announced that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan is releasing on Nintendo Switch.
After a mostly solid first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the story that started it all is coming to Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to embark on the horrific and mysterious journey of Man Of Medan, as Supermassive Games take their first steps onto the Nintendo Switch.
In Man Of Medan, five friends set sail on a holiday diving trip in the South Pacific in pursuit of the remains of a WWII-era plane. As the day unfolds and a storm rolls in, their trip soon turns into something much more sinister and terrifying, as they come upon a seemingly abandoned freighter. Once onboard the ghost ship, things take a turn towards the supernatural when they start to encounter visions of phantom creatures.
Players will be able to explore the haunted ship and experience the full story and beyond with the extended playable chapter ‘Flooded’ and the Curator’s Cut game mode available at launch as well, which features new scenes playable from the other characters’ perspective, giving the player brand new choices and decisions to make and an alternative view of the game with a different set of consequences.
While Man Of Medan is easily the weakest entry of season one of The Dark Pictures Anthology and a shaky start to the series, it’s still a fun game and worth a playthrough for the unnervingly effective jump scares and compact running time of about three to four hours.
Man Of Medan is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
