Creative Director at Brass Token, Mike Skupa recently took a deep dive into what makes the upcoming cosmic horror action-adventure game The Chant an experience you won’t want to miss when it launches this fall.
The game’s story takes place on Glory Island, where after a botched ritual at a remote spiritual retreat, a force called The Gloom is unleashed throughout the island to feed off negative energy. As Jess, you must fight, avoid, and harness this supernatural threat as it drives everyone to madness.
Fight or flight is crucial to survival as you balance resources, spiritual weapons, and abilities against the creatures and cultists that emerge from The Gloom.

The Chant is developed by Brass Token and published by Prime Matter. Pre-orders are already live and bonuses include a 1970s-themed in-game VFX filter mode and an exclusive 1970s-inspired spiritual retreat outfit. The publisher has confirmed that physical pre-orders of The Chant will come with the same pre-order bonuses as digital pre-orders.
The Chant launches on Nov. 3rd, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with an MSRP of $39.99 USD.
