The Case of Charles Dexter Ward appears on Greenlight while fundraiser continues onwards

The Case of Charles Dexter Ward is a video game adaption of a short story by H.P. Lovecraft, which was first published in an abridged format four years after the man’s demise and only received a full release two years afterwards in 1943.

The game appeared on Kickstarter last week and has so far raised a fifth of its minimum goal. Now the people who want to support the game can also choose to help it by voting on the recently-opened Greenlight page. By gaining enough positive votes, the game is more likely to be approved for a release on Steam, which is a trial all developers have to go through if they don’t have an established publisher.

The game is scheduled for a release in Late 2015, but based on the information I have read so far I am confident that the game is in good hands. As somebody who loves a Lovecraft novel every now and then, it irritates me how many games falsely claim to use his style, but this team from Argentina seems to truly love the source material.
