Finally! After getting a taste of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth at E3, I felt the game couldn’t come soon enough. Waiting for a release date was almost as uncomfortable as the subject matter in the game. But now Nicalis Inc. has released what I might consider the most bizarre trailer I’ve ever seen and it ends with an announcement of a November 4th release date on PS4, PS Vita, and Steam. If you haven’t tried the game before, it’s a Zelda-like-rogue-like-shmup-like-like (I know that the term’s value has diminished, but you know what I mean) with a macabre story that you’ll unearth as you reach the end of the game mulitple times. You play as the young, naked Isaac trapped in a basement after God Isaac’s mother that the boy is to be sacrificed. Using tears as a weapon, you find power-ups that will deform you further and further until you reach the end. Definitely not a game for the young’uns. You can pre-order The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on Steam now. Check out the trailer, but be careful if you’re at work since there are naked people (albeit with their jiggly and nipply bits blurred out).
