The studio behind the less-popular of the two recent The Walking Dead games has apparently shut down; their website is no longer available, their Facebook page is equally silent and former employee Jesse Sosa has posted a statement confirming this sad truth.
“For those that have known me for a long time know that I was at TRI for 10 years,” Sosa wrote on his Facebook page. “TRI seems to have finally shut down. A lot of different emotions are passing through me at the moment. I left there when I saw things going downhill but I have always kept up with them and hoped for the best. Now that they’re gone, I’m just kind of feeling nostalgic it seems”
The studio was founded in 1994 and has been responsible for games like Bloodrayne and Ghostbusters: The Video Game. While the quality of their games wavered, it is always sad to see a studio disappear like this and I sincerely hope that all designers will be able to find new employers.
