TellTale’s The Walking Dead Third Episode May Release Before Year’s End

Confusion and questions surrounding TellTale Games: The Walking Dead continue to mount as the news of its third episode picks up steam. We’ve been following the story closely as events unfolded with the changing of developers, pay disputes, lawsuits, and a bevy of other decidedly non-zombie news.

Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Studios is still slated to complete The Final Season. The CEO of Skybound Games, Ian Howe, and Creative Director for The Walking Dead’s Final Season  “fully expect” the third episode’s release by the end of this year. They both expressed potential “disappointment” if this does not come to fruition during a recent Reddit AMA. They also explained that the crew working on the remaining episodes is entirely made up of former TellTale staff, and that the writers from the series have stayed on board to see it through. This is good news for fans of the series, as Season Four continues Clementine’s storyline as an adult raised during the outbreak. Clem has come full circle and is responsible for her own orphan now, a young boy named AJ.

All episodes were previously scheduled for release by the close of 2018. For now, the initial first two episodes will have to suffice until something concrete materializes. While Episode Three may be a sure thing, Episode Four is still caught up in legal red tape, and cannot begin production until all parties can come to a final agreement that allows that to happen. As usual, we will be following this story for further news and release dates.
