The Walking Dead has been mopping up the cash from just about every medium there is– between the original comic to the TV series, the toys and, of course, the video games. While The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts might be best forgotten with the rest of the cheap licensed tie-in games, Telltale Game’s wonderful and emotionally challenging The Walking Dead game quickly captured the market’s attention, and even scooped up the Spyke TV Game of the Year award last year.
Now labeled as The Walking Dead: Season One, Telltale’s emotional roller coaster is going to be gracing the PlayStation Vita platform tomorrow, along with the DLC chapter 400 Days as announced at this year’s E3. The point and click game seems a perfect fit for touch-devices, and has already been available in a similar format for tablets and iOS devices.
The game also features a few Vita-specific bonuses, and even has a few new trophies exclusive to the system, in case you’ve already played through the game on your PS3 (which in all honesty is the next best thing to having it simply be a new trophy list, like Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY.) It’s a great way to deliver the first season of this amazing game, and I have to say, a great way to get hype back in Telltale’s court for the up and coming Season Two!
