Telltale Games has certainly grown throughout the years. From Borderlands to The Walking Dead, they’ve taken on various licenses, giving us experiences that appeal to longtime fans and newcomers of whatever source material they’re working with. And they’re not showing any signs of slowing down.
This year will be another noteworthy one for Telltale, as they take on new properties like Batman and a game set in the Marvel universe. But when asked about what other projects they’d like to work on, co-founder and CEO Kevin Bruner had this to say:
“…There’s also lots of crazy genres and formats that we hope to tackle. And then there’s the giant franchises that seem like they might never happen, but it never hurts to ask. Personally, I’m on record saying how much I’d love to make a Telltale Star Wars game. I’ve made Star Wars action games in the 90’s when I worked at LucasArts, but a Telltale Star Wars game would be a dream come true. And Bond. James Bond would be freaking awesome. And Fletch. And Chinatown. Oh, and The Shining.”
Yup, The Shining! Of course, this is no way confirms that it will happen, but just thinking about a game based on the classic horror novel by Stephen King is enough to get me really excited. It could even serve as a prequel story.
