The System Shock Reboot is chugging along well since the start of its Kickstarter campaign in June 2016. Developer Nightdive Studios released a new video update this week that explores the game’s transition from concept design to 3D realization. The team of artists discuss how they’ve established the game’s visual direction, from looking to the original game as reference material to creating new elements that honor that clunky-futuristic look.
The eight minute video doesn’t show much in terms of gameplay, but if you’re interested in environmental design and 3D modeling, you’re in luck. More videos are due this year as we approach the game’s presently unknown release date on PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Linux.
