Whoa! Red Barrel’s Outlast has been caught skulking around in the shadows of the Xbox One. With all of last week’s E3 craziness, this seems to be the perfect time for a surprise release. You can get the main game for $19.99 and the DLC, Whistleblower, $8.99. Hopefully this sudden appearance doesn’t serve to obfuscate itself.
This is the only game CJ has ever given a perfect score, so maybe you’ll get a kick out of it! It’s definitely a fun haunted house ride, if a little lacking in terms of gameplay substance. I haven’t played the DLC continuation yet, but in his review CJ said he was “both appalled and impressed.” I hear its got some icky gore in it too, but people who read this site probably aren’t into blood and guts, right? Winky face.
