According to an interview with Playstation LifeStyle, Until Dawn was a huge hit for developer Supermassive Games. Exceeding their expectations, the lessons they learned while developing this game are already being implemented in future projects.
When asked about the prospect of an “Until Dawn 2″, Supermassive Games confirms that more time will have to pass before any concrete plans are laid out.
“We do talk internally about what Until Dawn 2 could be, as it clearly can’t be a sequel in the traditional sense, with the same characters facing the same threat, not least of which because in different stories some or all of them are already dead! We’ve investigated other ways we could do Until Dawn 2 but it probably is a little early to be discussing that.”
A full interview with Playstation LifeStyle is planned to go public next week. Until Dawn was released on the Playstation 4 in August.
