Steam Greenlight approves several creepy games

Valve has announced the latest batch of Steam Greenlight that have been approved for the service and there’s a hefty amount of horror games coming. Out of the fifteen greenlit games six titles caught my creepy, little eyes. 7 Days to Die, The 7th GuestThe Dead Linger, Nekro, Paranormal, and Stranded Deep have begun the “in talks” phase between Valve and the respective developers.

Out of the whole bunch, I’d have to say that Stranded Deep catches my eye the most; it’s a survival game based on a plane crash survivor lost somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. A Cast Away / Open Water type survival game could potentially be pretty intense, fearing drowning, the weather, and underwater predators. Perhaps zombies and supernatural horror will dwindle from the spotlight of the horror genre and we’ll see some more “natural” horror. I just made that name up. You’ve heard it here first. Bear Grylls be damned.
