Horror visual novel Spirit Hunter: NG, the sequel to Death Mark (now titled Spirit Hunter: Death Mark), is set for a release this October. Aksys Games has officially announced that the second volume of this supernatural series will launch on October 10th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and even on PlayStation Vita.
Spirit Hunter: NG reveals the story of a cursed young man on a life-threatening quest to discover who—or what—is responsible for the disappearance of his little sister. To save her, our protagonist must team up with shady characters, face down spirits of legend, and make difficult decisions that can greatly alter the outcome of the game. Can you save your sister and stop evil from destroying all that you hold dear? Or will you find yourself just another victim of an angry spirit?
Spirit Hunter: NG promises to offer a variety of locations in which players will watch its terrifying story unfold and solve the overarching mystery. From residential areas to quaint neighborhood parks, the entities which haunt this world have no borders. Bringing this world to life is artist Fumiya Sumio, whose work on this series has made me anxious to finally try it. Talk of the game’s “Judge System,” which is supposed to make it more interactive than other visual novels, sounds pretty neat as well.
