Slender: The Arrival was released on PC earlier this year and suffered a lukewarm reception. Metacritic currently has the game on a 66/100 average with many reviews criticizing the game’s lack of good scares and the repetitive nature of the gameplay. This hasn’t stopped Parsec Productions and Blue Isle Studios, though, as they plan to release new content for the game this Halloween.
The details are currently unknown, as is the exact release date, but my guess is that we’ll see more levels and maybe some new monsters. I’m not sure if this update will redeem the game in the eyes of gamers worldwide, but since the game was known for being rather short, it should at least make it a more attractive deal to anybody planning to pick this up once the price goes down.
