Slender: The Arrival, the remake of the popular, little Unity game Slender: The Eight Pages now has a trailer. The game has come a long way from a cylinder in a business suit that stalks you.
The Arrival gives off a Condemned meets Alan Wake vibe, and that’s a good thing. Honestly, I was expecting something along the lines of just a graphical upgrade, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. This trailer shows that The Arrival will be much, much bigger than its predecessor, and with the Marble Hornets guys working on the story it’s sure to be interesting.
I fear that the game’s stalking mechanic may not be able to stay fresh after several hours, but, perhaps Blue Isle Studios and Parsec Productions will be able to pull it off. That junkie-looking NPC in the trailer just might be a means to keep the game exciting in between Slender Man encounters. I guess we’ll find out when Slender: The Arrival releases early next year.
