There is a plethora of Slenderman games out there, but the most famous of them all is Slender: The Eight Pages. Chances are you have probably already played that game and were just as mortified by it along with virtually everyone else that ventured into those lonely woods. If by chance you did not play The Eight Pages, or you just crave more Slenderman in general, then you would do best to check out Slender: The Arrival when it finally releases on March 26th of this year. Slender: The Arrival is the official remake of The Eight Pages and is being co-developed by the creator of the original and Blue Isle Studios, and as a bonus the game is being written by the same people behind the Marble Hornets Youtube series.
There are numerous differences between The Arrival and the original game such as new levels to explore, an improved graphics engine to amp up the atmosphere, more varied objectives, and a full on story mode.
The game is currently up for pre-order, which will grant you full access to the PC beta version of the game. There are a variety of pre-order options as well, ranging from a $5 pre-order discount edition that’ll get you a copy of the game on release, to a $60 Producer’s Edition that’ll snag you the game, soundtrack, digital art, and even your name in the credits of the final game!
Finally, the development team has released a 11 minute video preview of the beta build for Slender: The Arrival, and honestly, it looks like such an improvement over The Eight Pages that it makes that game look like a proof of concept.
