Silent Hill 2 Remake Surpasses 2 Million Sales

Silent Hill 2 Remake

Konami has announced that Silent Hill 2 remake has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, confirming the success of the remake of the famous survival horror game, which was released for PC and PS5 last October.

In a statement, Konami shared that the game has received extraordinary praise from both players and critics, both in Japan and internationally, resulting in excellent reviews. The company highlighted that players helped the game win six PlayStation Blog awards, including the Platinum Trophy for Story award. Additionally, it earned several other recognitions globally, such as the Outstanding Visual Style award at the Steam Awards 2024.

The decision to entrust the remake to Bloober Team has proven to be a success, despite initial doubts, as the numbers clearly show. The remake has been praised as an excellent project, with the public and critics alike acknowledging the quality of the game. While the Polish studio, known for titles like Layers of Fear and The Medium, had little experience with such high-profile productions, their final product exceeded expectations, dispelling any concerns raised after the early trailers.
