Showtime Teases Twin Peaks VR for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift

Twin Peaks VR

Television network Showtime and Collider Games have announced that they’re working together with auteur David Lynch to bring Twin Peaks to virtual reality. I’m screaming.

To be revealed first to attendees of music, art, film festival “Festival of Disruption” will be Twin peaks VR, a Windows PC title for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift that takes players/viewers to iconic settings to relive moments from the 18-part limited series Twin Peaks: The Return. The game will also feature scenes from the original series. Buckle up, it’s time to live out the Miss Twin Peaks Contest (probably not, but who knows?!).

Twin Peaks VR is further described by Collider Games as follows: “Utilizing lines and sounds from the show itself, players will travel to Glastonbury Grove, only to end up in the puzzling Red Room. Fans of the series will follow in the footsteps of Special Agent Dale Cooper and try to make their way back into the life they left behind.”

This synopsis implies that Twin Peaks VR will explore Cooper’s 25 years in the Black Lodge. Awesome. There are no further details at this time, but we know that the game will release on Steam sometime in the future. If you’re headed to Festival of Disruption in Los Angeles, go check it out and let us know your thoughts!
