After having their Kickstarter funded, Zojoi has presented their project for a greenlight on Steam; Shadowgate, a re-imagining of the classic point-and-click fantasy adventure, will add new puzzles and environments to the old ones along with modern visuals. The original NES soundtrack will be the oldest part of the new sound design in this ultimate, unhindered version of Skyrim‘s granddaddy.
Set in the castle of “Shadowgate”, the game tasks the player with navigating through puzzles using items and commands. The ultimate goal is to hunt down and defeat the evil Warlock-Lord before he summons the demon Behemoth. One of the interesting things about this game is the narrative, which is nicely descriptive and is reminiscent of a “choose-your-own-adventure” book.
