A hefty bit of skepticism has been lobbied at Precursor Games in regards to their crowd funding methods on Shadow of the Eternals. Mostly because the campaign was originally started on the developers website without any real outside oversight, and not on popular crowd funding websites such as indiegogo or Kickstarter. Well, in an apparent attempt to quell some fears backers have had, Precursor Games have moved the crowdfunding campaign to Kickstarter.
It’ll be interesting to see if the decision to move to a kickstarter actually pays of for the developers. They’ve got 35 days to get 1,350,000 dollars and a plethora of people still apprehensive to support a project with Denis Dyack’s name attached to it. Hopefully they can actually raise the money needed for the first episode of Shadow of the Eternals and pull off an amazing game.
