Precursor Games has released two videos today for Shadow of The Eternals. The first video released focuses on the combat systems present within the game. Tactical combat in Shadow of the Eternals will feature character specific attacks which will highlight their skills and personality, while equipped with historically accurate weapons (melee and ranged). The tactical aspect comes into play with a system that allows players to choose which body part of their enemy they will strike.
The second video, featuring Chief Creative Officer at Precursor Games Denis Dyack, details the user submitted enemy creation campaign that Precursor is holding on their development forums. Pledges of $5 or more are given access to this forum and can engage in the Enemy Creation Initiative. Enemy concepts can be submitted by starting a forum thread with a creature’s name, reference images, and a chosen set of characteristic parameters created by Precursor.
Currently, Shadow of The Eternals has had $183,589 pledged with $750,000 being their goal. 23 days remain to help fund the game on Kickstarter. Here’s hoping we’ll see this game pull through and scare our pants off.
