Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg weigh in on The Last of Us with some funny and insightful reactions to the prologue. This might be proof that survival horror has breached the “niche genre” zone it’s been stuck in for a while based on their reactions. They both seem to thoroughly enjoy the cinematic lighting combined with the tense gameplay. Both started with lower expectations than what they actually experienced, which is a good thing as the game “wows” them with it’s opening act.
It’s definitely a testimony to the quality of Naughty Dog’s latest title and they both conclude the game is scary.
Be warned that Seth Rogen plays with an inverted control scheme (don’t see that everyday), things are a little awkward until he switches. There are some mild spoilers if you haven’t played yet, enjoy.
