Scorn, the H.R. Giger inspired explorative horror game we revealed awhile back has returned. After a failed Kickstarter campaign in December, Scorn has received private funding from an investor and will be entering into full production in February.
After speaking with Ebb Software’s Ljubomir Peklar, I’ve learned that the game’s scope is still being determined as they’ve received a bit more funding than they had asked for on Kickstarter. The team is currently weighing a two part release or an adjusted single part title. The game’s primary platform is PC, and its target release is Q4 2016.
According to NeoGaf user Mdk7, a backer update was sent to those that contributed to Scorn‘s Kickstarter, stating that all supporters will be receiving their backer rewards for free despite the campaign’s closure.
We still know very little about Scorn, but I’m glad a title as odd as this will eventually come to fruition. Here’s hoping it will be worth the wait.
