S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Will Be More Open to Mods, GSC Game World Wants Many

The team at GSC Game World recently emphasized how important mod support is for the long-term life of their unique FPS with RPG and open-world elements, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Although the game already allows players to modify it, the developers have promised to make it even more accessible for mods, as community support in this area is a key focus for GSC Game World in the long run.

Speaking to VideoGamer, a GSC Game World spokesperson expressed their appreciation for the community’s passion, adding that they are “deeply grateful” for the contributions modders have made to the game. They said, “Modders have played a huge role in shaping the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, adding their own stories to it” and they will continue to value this passion.

There are already many mods available for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on NexusMods, ranging from interface tweaks to deeper changes that affect gameplay and the A-Life system. However, the goal is to allow for continued growth and evolution in this area.

GSC Game World said:

We really want to see mods keep coming in the future. That’s why Legends of the Zone Trilogy supports mods through mod.io on consoles.

They also promised that mod support would be more accessible and intuitive for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and they will continue to keep this promise. Fans should stay tuned for updates.
