Update: It has been confirmed that Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will have five playable characters and will release this summer.
Original Post: After the release of DmC: Definitive Edition, Capcom’s not done with Devil May Cry this year. We’re also getting a Special Edition of Devil May Cry 4. And according to a Japanese publication, as shared on NeoGaf, we may now have a release date along with other juicy information.
According to a Japanese publication, the game will be launching on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 18th, with the PC version slated to hit on the 24th. The list of playable characters aside from Nero includes: Vergil, Trish, and Lady.The publication made no mention of the extra Vergil story that’s expected to be included in the package, as indicated by the little cutscene we saw featuring him.
We’ll have this classified as a rumor until Capcom decides to either confirm or debunk it. Stay tuned!
