If leaks online and independent confirmation from Kotaku are to go by, Dead Rising 4 is happening. Expect an E3 reveal!
A supposed poster of Dead Rising 4 has surfaced online (via This Gen Gaming) showing Frank West back at Willamette Mall, the location of the first game in the series. Speculation is leading people to believe that the game will be a remake, but the 4 in the title makes this a fairly curious leak. Frank looks pretty young as well, so maybe this will be a weird Off The Record alternative reality situation.
Additional info from NeoGaf insider Ekim suggests that the game will be set during Christmas time and will indeed a remake. Word is that the game will be revealed during Microsoft’s press conference as an Xbox One and Windows 10 Store exclusive, and will support four-player coop featuring characters from the other games in the series.
With multiple sources of these leaks online, it’s hard to verify what might truly hold weight. We’ll find out more next week no doubt.
