I can’t even tell you how much I love BioShock. It’s not only one of my favorite horror games of all time, but one of my favorite game franchises in general. While the sequels left the horror element behind, the original is a classic of the early seventh generation horror genre. It ranks higher than Condemned, Dead Space and F.E.A.R. for me.
I’ve been hoping for this news to pop up for a little while now, and low and behold here it is. According to a listing on a South African retailer called Raru a title called The BioShock Collection has popped up in their listings. The collection contains not only the original title, but also it’s sequels BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, and presumably all of the three games DLC content (like the critically acclaimed Minerva’s Den and Burial at Sea), which would be a pretty awesome collection. The website is currently taking pre-orders for a November 27th release date of this year, which seems pretty close for something that’s not even officially announced.
This is just a rumor right now, so keep that in mind and your expectations in check. That said, as our source points out, Raru has leaked information like this before. There’s every chance this will probably turn out to be true, and I really hope so. A nice “remaster” polish to the original game especially would be incredible. Here’s keeping our fingers crossed.
