Retro/Grade developer wants to make psychological horror game

RetroGrade

Did you ever play Retro/Grade? It’s a really crazy game about rhythm that plays in reverse and which actually has some pretty touches. The guy who developed the game, Matt Gilgenbach, clearly has some really funny ideas, so I was looking forward to his next project. To my surprise, it’s going to be a survival horror game.

The game, Neverending Nightmares, is a psychological game that draws inspiration from Matt’s own mental problems, obsessive compulsive disorder and depression, to be precise. The game is presented in a black&white art-style that, according to Joystiq, is based on the work of Edward Gorey. Joystiq also has a preview of the game which shows of some really freaky scenes which make me rather excited to see the finished product.

The game is scheduled for release in late 2014 and a Kickstarter campaign will be launched very soon. The game will also be playable at Pax Prime, for those who want to see this title for themselves.
